The first meeting with stakeholders for the RES-MAB project: “Promoting WEFE nexus-based adaptation and mitigation solutions and landscape resilience in Mediterranean Biosphere Reserves” was held today at the Dana Biosphere Reserve.

This project is part of the PRIMA Program (Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area), supported by the European Union.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Omar Al-Zyoud, Governor of Tafila, and Mr. Ali Al-Zaidan, Mutasarrif of Busaira District, along with representatives from the Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Agriculture, Environmental Police, Ministry of Tourism, and the Municipality of Qadisiyah.

Mr. Raed Al-Khawaldeh, Director of the Dana Biosphere Reserve, provided a comprehensive overview of the project and its main objectives, emphasizing the importance of collaboration among stakeholders to achieve the desired goals. He also highlighted the project’s significance and its positive impacts on the local communities in Dana Village.
